• Dial-Up Access (Standard 56K Service)

  • UTOPIA ACCESS offers unlimited Internet access through out the U.S. and Canada.  Access is offered though a network of high speed 56K modem pool with local numbers is over 9600 cities nationwide.  Most area have been upgraded to support V.92 modems.   This will allow quicker connections, Modem-On-Hold^tm and faster upstream speeds.  All UTOPIA ACCESS accounts include unlimited access, e-mail address for every family member, e-mail access through e-mail reader (Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape Mail, Eudora, and all other POP3 e-mail readers) or web based mail reader,  access to over 65,000 newsgroups, access to live toll free telephone support.  Access is offered on a month to month basis or on a one (1) year contract at a 17% savings.

• Accelerated Dial-Up Access (6X the speed of Standard Service.  Powered by SlipStream)

  • Dial Up Accelerator powered by SlipStream will enhance your internet experience by a factor of 6.  SlipStream combines patented, proprietary data compression technology with optimization components that further improve performance the more you use it. SlipStream is comprised of two components: a scalable, high-performance, configurable content acceleration server and a lightweight browser update. The Slipstream Server retrieves data from the requested external web server using a high-speed Internet connection, then compresses and optimizes the content for delivery to your computer.  Accelerated Dial-Up access is offered on a month to month basis or on a one (1) year contract at a 17% savings.

Payment

Payments are to be made via check, money order, or credit card to UTOPIA ACCESS.  Please include your Customer Identification Number or User ID on each check or payment you make. Returned checks will be charged a $25.00 service charge.

Canceling Service

If a customer no longer wants to receive Internet services though UTOPIA ACCESS, they must cancel their service.  Customers may cancel via a phone call followed by verifying email or simply via email.  Cancellations must be in writing. Customers wishing to cancel may email us at BillingClerk@UtopiaAccess.com . (e-mailed requests must be from the original account holder) or send a letter of cancellation to:

Charges to your Internet account will continue to accrue regardless of use or non use of the internet account until a cancellation notice is received.  All cancellations take effect on the last day of the month that the cancellation was received.

Refunds

Refunds are not given on monthly accounts where the user was able to access the Internet.  Refunds for yearly plans will be calculated using the following method -- Amount paid minus months used times current monthly fee minus current monthly fee times months remaining divided by two or $50.00 which ever is lower. There are no refunds for added cost features. (example. extra e-mail's, dial-in's, or web space) Refunds are not granted on a prorated basis. Refunds are not issued to customers who experience personal computer problems (example. computer failure, modem failure, hardware failure)
